Requirements: Associate’s Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field and five (5) years of related experience. Seven (7) years of technical computer experience in lieu of Associate’s Degree acceptable. Must have knowledge of system development, principles and practices, large computer systems, and personal computers; knowledge of structured programming technology for structured language environment; understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices; knowledge of web design including html, xml, and JavaScript; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Suite; and knowledge of database design methods and techniques. Must have interpersonal, team building, computer, customer service, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication (written and verbal) skills. Must have the ability to establish working relationships with employees and other County/State agencies; work independently and analyze information, formulate conclusions, and recommendations. Must be available to work over-time if needed. Employer does drug testing/screening, background, reference, and motor vehicle record checks.
Job Responsibilities: Assist the Director in the Department of Information Technology (I.T.) in planning, selection, maintenance, and application of operating system software, installed on multi-computer hardware platforms devoted to centralized, mission critical functions. Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems. Active Directory administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Exchange system administration, monitoring and troubleshooting. Provide technical support for the SQL database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technology. Develop, document, implement, maintain, and support all operational systems for the organization. Develop and maintain all aspects of the organization’s website. Develop and maintain Databases for various organizations’ departments. Create and modify interactive Adobe forms. Conduct system analysis, support, and maintenance, with limited support and direction from professional staff, to keep systems current with changing technologies. Recommend enterprise upgrades, changes, or enhancements. Work on Clerks Help Desk when required, including inbound and outbound calls, email requests, and direct requests. Responsible for tracking, maintaining, and auditing all desktop hardware, software and peripherals assets. Attends seminars or other required training to enhance job knowledge. Work with Department Directors and Administrators to maintain thorough knowledge of the applications and processes. Monitor the impact of new technologies/methods on systems and network procedure. Create formal user documentation for all new software and/or new processes and procedures implemented in the I.T. department. Respond to current and emerging product security vulnerabilities, threats, and viruses. Test and implement security patches and upgrades on servers and workstations. Maintain the security of the Clerk's information infrastructure and information technology systems. Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Adhere to organizations’ grooming standards and policies. Communicate with coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others. Reinforce attendance policies. Performs other duties as assigned.
