Compensation: Salary range: $16.89/hr, $35,131.20/yr to $27.84/hr, $57,907.20/yr

The Polk County Library Cooperative (PCLC) Information Technology (IT) Specialist II - Support Administrator ensures that staff and public access computer systems used in PCLC offices and designated member libraries are provided standardized hardware, operating system, application, and peripheral equipment support.  Reports to Library Cooperative IT Specialist II – Operations Manager.
This position and staff filling it are annually reviewed for renewal and are not automatically retained from one year to the next.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Works with Operations Manager, Steering Committee, Librarians and Coordinator to develop and maintain standardized procedures that provide detailed descriptions of how staff and public access hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripheral equipment are supported and maintained
2 Works with IT staff of member libraries to provide support as directed by Operations Manager and Coordinator
3 Ensure that all support work is performed in compliance with PCLC standardized procedures
4 Provide  guidance and assistance to other PCLC IT staff as assigned by Operations Manager
5 Manage the “Help Desk” including taking support calls, opening trouble tickets and monitoring support progress
6 Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware, operating system, and software issues as assigned within the PCLC service request system
7 Provide detailed, written documentation of all work performed as requested
8 Create and maintain documentation of all assigned systems and support services
9 Create and maintain a clearinghouse of information on support issues
10 Works with Operations Manager to manage all licensing and maintenance contracts and agreements
11 Assist city and county personnel with equipment inventories of PCLC systems identified in city and county databases
12 Maintain professional and cordial working relationships with all PCLC staff, library staff, and patrons
13 Perform on-call library application support during specified hours  as directed by Operations Manager
14 Use reliable personal transportation for travel to all PCLC member libraries
15 Perform other related duties as requested

Education / Qualifications: Required Experience and Education:
1 High school diploma and post-secondary training in Information Technology
2 Four years of Windows system support
3 Four years support experience or two years support management experience
NOTE:  Combinations of relevant education and experience can be used to meet the experience requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
1 Technical and general writing, and strong verbal communication skills
2 Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
1 Bachelor degree in IT
2 Windows certifications
3 Cisco experience and certifications
4 Experience providing IT support in public libraries
5 Experience in using Support management software
